Friends, as we are witnessing an ongoing drive about cleanliness called SWACHH BHARAT aimed at making our surroundings cleaner and thereby ensuring that our wonderful country becomes more beautiful and that we must be making our contributions in whatever ways possible to make it a success. However, today I am going to talk about yet another important drive that can really help us develop a positive outlook towards our surroundings leading us to manage our lives better with minimal negativity and that is 'SWACHH DIMAAG' through a very effective exercise named TITO (Trash-in-Trash-out) which works on a simple theory that all (inevitable) in-coming trash (read negativity) has to be trashed out (of our minds) regularly in order to ensure that we live with cleaner & clearer minds largely devoid of any negative thoughts.

The need for carrying-out this cleansing of minds on a daily basis is necessitated because as we see that even though we regularly mop & clean our bodies, homes, offices & even our vehicles each day and without fail (because we don't wish to carry dirt, dust & filth around us) however, this dirt/dust starts engulfing us (& our possessions) almost inevitably thereafter and since there is no way we can prevent this dust to sneak-in, we resort to regular cleaning day-after-another to ensure that this dust doesn't settle-in and accumulate further to cause rusting, erosion and cracks - likewise - howsoever we try but we can not stop the all pervading negativity coming into our minds and prevent our minds (& souls) from getting polluted with this trash around us however we can certainly trash this negativity out of our minds on a regular basis so that it doesn't settle in there and starts to cause further damage.

And mind it, this trash (negativity) and the resultant erosion in our peace of mind can play havoc with our minds & soul's (the most neglected of our body parts when it comes to daily cleansing) and if not addressed timely this negativity causes ir-reparable stress to us that starts eating us out from inside making us weaker physically, mentally & spiritually by each passing day though we never realise this erosion or maybe do it when it is kind of late.

So, I suggest you must try practising TITO by mopping off and sweeping out all your trash i.e. grudges, disappointments, doubts, non-useful & unproductive thoughts and negativity from your mind on a regular (rather daily) basis much like you brush your teeth, wash (& kind of clean yourselves) in whatever ways before you call it a day.

And this exercise of cleansing minds (& souls) which is a sort of meditation in somewhat ways, can be a very effective way of helping you in getting a good, sound sleep and when you get up on the following morning you awaken not only with a properly rested body but also with a much cleaner, clearer, refreshed & rejuvenated mind (& soul), ready to take on the world with renewed energy levels and a positive outlook.

So I suggest we must start to practice TITO on a daily basis in order to make our minds (& souls) cleaner, more peaceful, happier and virtually bigger with larger room for positive, useful & more productive ideas & thoughts that we would be able to grab and retain (in a cleaner) mind enabling us to cope with the worldly challenges that without getting unduly perturbed about the uncertainties & vagaries of life and making all of us lead happier lives.
